CPCS ‘Grandfather Rights’ withdrawal
From January 2020, CPCS are phasing out Blue Competent Operator cards gained through ‘Grandfather Rights’.
All cards affected which are renewed from the 1st January 2020 will expire on 31st December 2024.
Candidates are required to complete one Competence Interview set by NOCN CPCS which will allow them to keep their cards.
If the cardholder has achieved at least one NVQ in certain Construction or Plant related occupations they may not be affected at all.
