Project Description
Paul Hembry joined Smith Brothers Ltd one year ago when he finished a nine year term in the Armed Forces. He is employed as a Trainee Cable Fixer, but he and his company saw an opportunity for upskilling training and Paul has now completed a month’s training with Birkwood, where he completed a 10 day CPCS 360 Novice Course, a 5 day CPCS Course for Roller and Dumper training, and as if that was not enough Paul went on to complete a 5 day CPCS Telehandler Course. Paul was a willing student, and during his weeks at Birkwood he got to know all the team.
As he finished his last course, passing out with flying colours, he called into the office to thank our team for their help, and complement us on the standard of training, so we grabbed him to share his success story with you.
Going forward Paul will progress to turn his red CPCS cards to Blue Competent Worker card by completing an NVQ Level 2 in Plant Operation, as his experience and confidence on each piece of plant grows over time.
